I hope you are spending a nice summer and before going on holidays I would like to start again the discussion within the Metadata WG.
I realized how difficult was to organize a virtual meeting due to different time zones, so I suggest to start again the discussion off line with a quick questionnaire about metadata to start revising the metadata standards mostly used among the group and the available metadata infrastructure, such as metadata catalogues and services, I will produce a summary of your inputs and circulate it
Starting from this document we can produce a metadata guide. I will draft an outline and ask for contribution to all of you.
Please find attached the questionnaire. I ask you to send it back by mid-September.
