Attached for your consideration is a slightly revised version of the TALOS Bibliography (Appendix 3) prepared by Ron. You’ll note that each bibliographic entry is now accompanied by a letter and/or a numeral that designates the scope of its contents, i.e. general (G) or chapter-specific (1 to 6).  The idea behind this is to make it easier for Manual users to identify citations that suit their particular interests of the moment, considering that many if not most of the entries are not cited in the main text.  These designations are open to challenge.

If this designation scheme strikes you as an improvement, then in the interest of accuracy it would help if members could take the time to verify the designations – also to enhance the listing by suggesting additional citations (including their own where applicable) that should be included.  If you do have corrections and/or improvements to put forward, please enter them in the attached Word file while tracking changes, and then forward the revised and renamed file directly to Ron.

On a technical note concerning the formatting of the bibliographic listing, which is displayed in two columns (one wide, the other narrow) and with rows of varying heights to accommodate the lengths of the different citations.  Microsoft Word (2003) does not support the construction of columns with varying row heights.  Therefore all entries and their designations have been inserted into a single table with appropriate settings (which do allow for varying row heights).  If you want to see the cell borders in the table, right-click anywhere in the table, select Table Properties, then Borders and Shading, and left-click on “All”.
